I'm not especially interested in what either Bezos or Musk has to say (especially not Musk--he seems incompetent and deranged). I think AI, like previous tech revolutions, will be a mix of good and bad, because humans are a mix of good and bad. Some people will use it for good, others for evil, same as they did with the internet.
Thanks for co-hosting this month's question, Lee. Bravo on your new release! And to your "pub sister." Both novels sound wonderful. Congratulations, ladies!
Congratulations, Lee. With your skills, I think AI will only be helpful. It is dangerous for new authors because they still have to test the waters and I fear they may already be heading towards repetition or redundancy with AI. I may be wrong.
So far I'm ignoring AI. I'm just not interested in learning to use new tools right now, and sorting out all the ethical implications. Thanks for co-hosting. http://samanthabryant.com
I'm kind of against using AI, though the line between that and any ordinary google search is fuzzy at best. But I don't trust AI "research" since it's known to just make stuff up. As for the quotes above, not sure either is quite right, but I remain unconvinced that we want what AI is giving us.
I agree with you about both Musk's idea and his self, but worry that he might be closer to the truth. I'm not a Luddite, but I'm not 100% confident that technology will save us. Not just any and all tech, anyway.
And thanks for co-hosting today!
Congratulations on your new release!

Congratulations on the new book! I grabbed a copy and look forward to reading it. I never thought to use AI as a critique partner. Hmmm
Congrats on your release and wrestling AI into helping you with your synopsis:)

I've got my ebook copy! Thanks for co-hosting today. :)
Congrats on the book release!
That's really interesting how AI gave you an analysis of your characters!
Thanks for co-hosting and good luck with your paperback launch in the upcoming weeks!

Thanks for co-hosting. It's exciting your book will be released soon. And it's interesting how Al helped you when you had it read your synopsis.
Thanks for co-hosting today, Lee! You constantly amaze and inspire me! https://selkiegrey4.blogspot.com/2024/08/iwsg-wednesday-august-7-2024-traveling.html
Congrats on the book release! How generous of you to share your blog post with another author who needs a boost!
Hi PJ. Thanks for the visit today and for taking the time to comment.
Thanks for cohosting today and congrats on the book release! I can definitely see how AI would be helpful for a synopsis and ad copy.
Thanks, Joyana. I think I'll experiment a bit more to see what else it can take off my plate.
Congrats on your book release.
I think it is a great idea to use AI for your advertising copy. Synopsis, blurb, etc.
I do too. They're so tedious to write. I'd rather put my time into the more creative aspects of writing.

I'd rather go with Bezos' idea. I dislike Musk's almost as much as I dislike the man.
