Actually giggled out loud at being upstaged by AI with no heart! I read on the IWSG blog hop someone said AI writing is dry. I like that too!

Hi,

I don't like being upstage by a machine either. It is sad to see what happening in the writing world.

Thanks for sharing the info on AI and your synopsis. I haven't tried a synopsis yet.

That is a very scary quote!!! You summed AI up well...heartless perfection.

Hi Lee!

I don't want to be upstaged by some heartless machine either. As to your Quote of the Month; I am now (gulp) officially scared. But I know I'm not alone. What we need are some UN-programmers ;-)

No worries, my dear. I'll follow you to Substack.

I doubt you can actually be upstaged. It might be able to analyze your work, but it needed your work to work with. :)

Analyzing what I have created might be like telling a friend about my characters and having her tell me what she sees that I might have missed. AI should be used as a tool only and not fed key terms and let loose on the internet to see what information it can gather that someone else has created. We need the human element in our creative endeavors. Thanks, Lee!

Using AI for analysis seems like a good idea. I might do it too. One more analytical tool is always welcome.

Yes. Analysis that is accurate and quick would be a great help.

I think you've used Al as a tool, which is how I think it can help writers. I'm not on Substack except for what I get through emails so I hope your posts continue to come to my inbox now that you're only posting here.

I'll try to leave a link back to my new home when I comment. That might help people stay connected. I hope so.

That quote might be a good argument for not giving AI any of your words to play with.

😂 Yeah, I get not wanting to be upstaged.

I haven't done the AI chat thing, but I like the way you tested it. That's sounds like a useful tool.

PS: My blog feed has changed.

Love the 'upstaged' line. LOL

I feel differently. I'm at an age where I struggle sometimes to search for words. I can't write as quickly as I used to, especially when I'm tired. I love that AI can help me brainstorm and give my creative juices a jumpstart.

Kudos on the great reception of your new book. I haven't read it yet, but looking forward to it. Your quote of the day is one of the scariest things I've ever read. I haven't done anything with AI.

Sorry about the scare, but I guess it's meant to make us think before we leap. Having said that, I believe we're already behind in the thinking business.
