Hi Lee...

Good luck with your new website/logo! I know it is so much hard work to do this, but I know you will nail it! I prefer the first one...

I like the first one.

I like the first one best. To me, it's cleaner and your name is right there, front and center. Also suggest that unless you also do a lot of freelance writing other than fiction, you change writer to author. A writer is what I call myself, but to readers, you and I are the authors of books they enjoy.

Thanks, Carol. I appreciate the feedback.

So which design did you choose?

I think both look great- but I am leaning towards the first one.

I've been thinking on this one. I prefer the first but the space is a little off. It needs less space at the top and bottom and maybe some more on either side of your name. I like the playfulness of the second one but it's not working for me.

I don't think either of the new ones have enough visuals. I like your original one best. Good luck figuring it out.

I like them both, but I think the round one has a younger feel and since you write YA, I choose it.

The first one, I think. It's more elegant.

I like elegant! Thanks.

The first is more of a serious business look. The circle is more fun loving, whimsical, but I don't like the fonts. Perhaps CAPs? or a fun font? I agree with using author not writer.

Ok. I'm considering all comments and suggestions. Thanks.

To answer your question - #1 all the way. It's clear and perfect. The second one feels like the design is more important than you... which is not true! Be bold. :) I agree with the other comments about the difference between writer and author.

BTW - I'm considering this same kind of move, but I'm a bit slow. Whew. Wordpress is expensive, especially if I want to do any Shopify/online sales type component.

I hear you about the expense. When I added up what I was spending in both time and money, I decided to bail. Good luck, Tyrean.
