From my observations at the local B&N, I believe that teenagers actually prefer paper books, maybe because they can keep something tangible as reminders of what they've read. Regarding the book itself, I wish this weren’t such a timely novel. It deals with a school shooting, which may sound daunting. But the well-drawn characters and the suspenseful narrative make it possible for the reader to understand one of the reasons why this kind of thing can happen. It also illustrates resilience in the face of tragedy. Both of these are important topics for the YA audience the book is intended for, and I know adults will find it compelling too.
