This started out kind of gruesome for me, but I like the twist at the end. Happy New Year!
I was trying for humor-- three potential lynchers bumbling the job and winding up glad they had.
Nice job! I was surprised by the ending, if a little suspicious :D
I'd like to write about Nell one of these days--slow with thoughts but quick to understand important things about life, especially animals.
