I'm going to have to write another article about the supernatural features of today's books. There are several scheduled for publication, and I know this one will be great!
When I first started taking part in NaNoWriMo I used to strive for the 50k word count. But I’m a turtle writer and sometimes my inner editor is hard to shut off. Now, I personally set my own more manageable, word count goal during NaNoWriMo.
Yes, I did NaNo twice. I spent more time editing than actually writing the story!
Congrats on your new release. Sounds like a great read. I'd like to shout about your new Rattlesnake book on my Focused on Story blog. Love that title. I blog on Wednesdays. I signed up for Substack but have not taken the time to figure out what exactly I want to do with it. Maybe that should be my New Year goals. Best wishes!
I'm gradually easing out of WP. I still have some hosting time that I've paid for, so I'll keep the site up until that expires. Then I have some major scrambling to do. Yikes.
I’ll track you down, Liz. Don’t want to lose our connection either. Thanks so much for the offer of help. I’ll get in touch. And I’ll stop by your place to say hi!
I agree that NaNo isn’t right for everyone—it’s an approach that works for a lot of us, but if you have a different writing style, it could be a disaster—the same things that motivate me (goals, word counts, etc) could make a polish-as-you-go writer feel inadequate, which would be totally wrong.
I like doing NaNo-style fast drafting, but I have to go in with a plan. The result is still a hot mess, but at least it's a slightly coherent hot mess.
Your new book sounds intriguing! I don't have a huge audience for my blog, but I'd be happy to host you for an interview or a feature if you're doing a blog tour.
Going in with a plan is probably the only way I’d even consider NaNo, so you’ve got the right idea. I’d love to visit your blog, so I’ll be touch. Thanks so much for the offer of help.
We must write in a similar way. NaNo is not for me either. I'm not blogging again until February, but I'll be happy to share things on Facebook and Twitter. The story sounds great!

Love the cover! Sounds like another winner, Lee. Congratulations!

Enjoyed Rattlesnake and can't wait to see it published!
Sorry Wordpress has been such a pain for you. Are you going to move your whole website?
Grats on the release! I love the cover.

Sounds like a great book.
I like that quote. It's very true and something to remember.
Also, I'll help with your book release.
That quote gets the point home pretty well. I guess I'm slowly getting there. The book sounds great. How may I help? Please let me know.
I’d love your help, Sonia. I’ll email you or leave a comment on your blog. Here’s to the Hunt And Peck Society!
Subscribed! And why am I not surprised this book sounds great.
A departure for me, but I enjoyed writing something different.
I made an account to follow you! Was it necessary, I don't know. But I worried if I didn't I'd lose touch.
The new book looks and sounds amazing! Add me to your list of help. Just let me know what you need.
I also don't NaNo. I'm a fellow hunt and peck style writer.

I forgot to mention I'm in the middle of A Costal Corpse. Really enjoying it.
You nailed it, Rebecca. We all have our writing styles. Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment.
I love NaNo :)
Glad it works for you, Jemi!
I wouldn't enjoy the NaNo writing experience either. Congrats on your new book. I'm glad to shout out about it in my Follower News.
NaNo works for a lot of my friends, and I’m in awe of what they can do with it. Thanks for the offer of help. I’ll get in touch!

Hi Carol,
Glad we share the no NaNo gene! And thanks for the offer of help. I’ll contact you.
Sounds good :)
